Why choose Offshore Boats for your Darwin fishing tour?

    1. More than just bottom fishing

We are flexible and incorporate a variety of techniques into each Darwin fishing charter including, jigging, casting, trolling and bait fishing. This flexibility ensures we are utilizing the most successful techniques to suit the tides and target species.

    2. High speed vessels – More time fishing & less time travelling

Our 300hp Stabicraft 759 and 400hp Westerberg 7650 have fast cruise speeds of 30 knots (55km/h). This allows us to reach some of the best, most remote fishing destinations in the NT in a single day charter from Darwin, ensuring we provide the best results for our guests.

    3. 30NM Offshore
    4. Our 7.5m Stabicraft, ‘Offsure’, and 7.65m Westerberg, ‘Reel Work’, are both in full, unrestricted 2C Australian commercial survey.. 2C survey allows the vessel to be operated up to 30nm from any coast line. Jordan and Jon both have the Master 5 skippers tickets, licensing them to operate the vessel to its full limits of 30nm offshore, This is yet another unique aspect of our charters. Many operators are restricted to 1nm or 15nm offshore dependent on licensing.
    5. Minn Kota

Both our vessels are fitted with a 112lb Minn Kota electric motor with Ipilot, spot lock, capabilities. We do not need to set anchor on the seabed, which is time consuming and can damage the seabed. Our Minn Kota allows us to set an electronic, GPS anchor with our electric motor. We can be at anchor fishing, within seconds. The Minn Kota ensures we are on the perfect spot, every time and maximises your time fishing on the water.

    6. Professional & Accredited Guides

Our fishing guides, Jon and Jordan, are fully accredited Fishing Charter Guides in the Northern Territory. They have extensive experience fishing the waters offshore from Darwin and hold First Aid Certificates, along with Working With Children clearances, otherwise known as Ochre Cards, that require a criminal history check and police clearance. Jordan and Jon both have the Master 5 skippers tickets, licensing them to operate the vessel to its full limits of 30nm offshore.
