About Darwin’s Best Fishing Charter
Established in 2016, Offshore Boats is Darwin’s leading reef and sport fishing charter operator. Jordan and Jon are the two skippers operating the fishing charters. They take pride in providing the highest level of customer service and the best fishing experiences for our guests.
Our team’s commitment to customer service, their knowledge, decades of experience and passion for recreational fishing, along with our high speed, comfortable, offshore, full cabin vessel, have led to our leading 5-star reputation.
The owner of Offshore Boats, Jordan, has extensive experience in the tourism and marine industries in the Northern Territory. He understands the importance of providing safe, high quality and well-maintained vessels and equipment, suitable for Top End waters. Our 7.5m Stabicraft, ‘Offsure’, is in full, unrestricted 2C Australian commercial survey for 6 passengers in addition to our skipper. 2C survey allows the vessel to be operated up to 30nm from any coast line. Jordan and Jon both have the Master 5 skippers tickets, licensing them to operate the vessel to its full limits of 30nm offshore, This is yet another unique aspect of our charters.
Your Fishing Hosts
Jordan spent a great deal of his childhood walking the banks of the Southern rivers chasing Murray Cod and Trout. His thirst for adventure brought him to the Northern Territory, with its’ world-class fishing and climate, in the early 2000’s.
Having worked in various sectors within the NT Tourism Industry, including managing 4×4 tours, offshore fishing charters, and helifishing charters, Jordan established Offshore Boats in 2016.
Jordan is your first point of contact. He spends most of his time behind the scenes running the business, however, he loves nothing more than being out on the bluewater, hunting fish and seeing his guest’s enjoyment as they experience the incredible fishing the Top End has to offer.
When he’s not on the water, Jordan and his wife Yvonne are kept busy by their two toddlers.
Jon is passionate about all things hunting and fishing. He got his first fishing rod before he could walk and has spent most of his life in the Northern Territory. Jon is a skilled instructor and loves sharing his extensive knowledge of finding fish, reading water and reeling in big fish.
When Jon isn’t mastering the waters of Darwin, he is working as a Middle School Teacher.
Jon is a husband of 24 years to Tenny and father of five awesome kids.
