About Our Barramundi Fishing Charters
Our highly experienced local fishing guides, tailor each Barramundi fishing trip to suit the tides, weather conditions and time of year to ensure we produce the best results for our guests.
We travel to some of the most productive Barramundi hotspots in the Northern Territory to target the iconic Barramundi.
Depending on the tides and time of year, we may fish the remote coastal creeks, Tiwi Islands, Shady Camp, Corroboree Billabong, Adelaide RIver, Bynoe, other major river systems or local harbours, bays and arms. We will target the destination that is most likely to yield the best results. If you have a preference for destinations, by all means please discuss with us. Alternativly, leave it up to us, you are in good hands.
Your day will begin with a meet and greet at the Boat Ramp in Darwin at about 7am (tide dependant), followed by a safety briefing and an outline of the plan for the day. You will be served a light breakfast on the way to your destination.
Depending on the time of year, tides and weather, we may tow our vessel to launch at another boat ramp outside of Darwin. If this is the case, we will pick you up in our 4×4 and return you at the end of the day.
Upon arrival at your first destination, your guide will provide you with all the tutoring and assistance required, so you can master the various techniques. Your day may include a combination of casting, trolling and live baiting as outlined below. Plenty of snacks, cool drinks and lunch are available to keep your energy and hydration up through out the day.
A unique aspect of our Barra fishing tours is the capacity to incorporate some reef and sport fishing along the way. This depends on the time of year and if the tides are suitable.
You are of course welcome to keep or release the fish you catch. Many guests like to keep their catch and take it home with them. If so, we will ofcourse fillet, clean and bag your fish to take home. Please note our team adheres strictly to Northern Territory fishing regulations and bag limits.

‘Another 2 fantastic days fishing with Offshore Boats. Jon was our skipper and guide for our third trip (2018, 2019 and this year 2022). This time Jon had a bit more pressure on with my 93 year old Dad on board to cross catching a wild Barra off his bucket list. Jon delivered as always, with my Dad not catching 1 bucket list Barra, but 2 measuring 100cm and 101cm. Bucket list done with 2 trophy Barramundi. Jon my Dad cannot thank you enough for all your help on both days to achieve his goal, he is a very happy man. Besides Dad’s barra other members of the group pulled in another 4 Barra, 100cm, 101cm, 103cm and 104cm. I also caught a 119cm black Jew fish. Jordan and his team cater for all your needs with the best equipment to land your catch and during the day a constant supply of water, soft drinks, snacks and fantastic lunches. Offshore Boats offer the complete package and there fishing expertise is second to none. Thanks again Jon. Jordon and your team. See you next time!”
