Here is a great shot of a 68cm Golden Snapper outside Darwin. You can see the fish clearly in 17m of water with the P66 transducer on the HDS Live 9 on the rear fishing deck.
We went over this small reef at high speed and saw some fishing holding. Without the P66, we would not have seen fish at that speed. We marked the waypoint on the sounder, turned around and motored back … this was the first fish in followed by a bag of solid Goldies.
Our guests really appreciate being able to view the sounder on the rear fishing deck.
